How You Can Help

Volunteers provide ideas, share talents and perform essential tasks that make a BIG difference.

How to Become a Volunteer

Donate your talent: Give a unique idea; we want to hear your ideas on how we can fight hunger in our community.

Donate your time: West Alabama Food Bank has need of volunteers in several areas. Most volunteer positions do not involve a long commitment of time per scheduled visit. We ask that all volunteers call WAFB at (205) 333-5353 to schedule a time for you and your friends to volunteer with us. We want to be sure that every volunteer has an opportunity to perform meaningful work.

Volunteer Today!

We ask that all volunteers and people completing community service hours wear closed toed shoes and appropriate clothing when serving at the West Alabama Food Bank. We also ask that all volunteers and people completing community service hours call 1 hour before arriving to ensure there is available work for them to complete on that day.

For more information or to schedule a group of volunteers, please call us at (205) 333-5353 or email Tucker at volunteer@westalabamafoodbank.org. We have availability for groups during our regular business hours as well as select Saturdays in the fall.
