Mini Mobile Pantry Coordinator/5th Quarter Coordinator

Sabine Nad, originally from Germany, has spent the past five years with the West Alabama Food Bank working as the mini market and pantry coordinator. Part of her daily routine consists of going into low income housing and senior communities and deliver food out of the back of her truck. The thing she enjoys the most about her job is helping people because the assistance can help make their lives a little easier. Her hopes are that the West Alabama Food Bank can grow and expand to help even more people. She thinks the West Alabama Food Bank is providing a lot of people with a lot of different things that they cannot normally afford. Her favorite moment since working at the West Alabama Food Bank is giving a young boy the opportunity to try a banana for the first time. “He was five or six and he never had a banana. That shows what kind of impact we have on the community.”
